Monday Morning Revivals
There is either a very over-zealous church around the corner or a very god-fearing group of tenants in the apartment building down the street (have not yet been motivated enough to venture out into the street in my pajamas at such an hour).
Every Monday morning, at 8 am, I am rudely jarred from my sleep by what sounds to be a revival.
I would perhaps not mind if the music was somewhat pleasant or had a good beat to it...say spirituals or something. But I'm not OK with this Whitney Houston gone wild type stuff...I'm surprised that neighborhood dogs don't howl along. It's terrible. Give me that old time relijun anyday, as long as I don't have to hear this.
I'm also quite confused as to why in the world it keeps happening on Monday morning at 8 am! It's usually done and quiet by 10:30 or 11 am. I mean Sunday might make sense. But it's like these people need a double shot of Salvation to jump start their week or something. And so god-damn early (Sunday nights usually see me up until about 2 am)!
It's enough to make me want to blast backmasked rock music out into the block.
Next Monday morning...revenge...
